Timothy A. Kolaya Named President-Elect of the University of Miami Law Alumni Association

Miami, FL | June 1, 2019 – Stumphauzer Foslid Sloman Ross & Kolaya partner Timothy A. Kolaya, a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law’s class of 2008, has been named President-Elect of the Board of Directors of the Law Alumni Association for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Tim previously served as the organization’s Vice President for Fundraising, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Vice President of Alumni Outreach & Communications.  Upon the completion of his term as President-Elect, Mr. Kolaya will serve as President of the Law Alumni Association for the 2020-2021 term.

The Law Alumni Association Board of Directors is the governing body of the Alumni Association and the more than 23,000 active alumni of the University of Miami School of Law, located throughout all 50 states and in over 66 countries, with over 11,000 in the state of Florida. Board Members serve as ambassadors for the School by working to engage alumni globally and reconnect them with their alma mater.

Mr. Kolaya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  He later returned to the University of Miami School of Law, graduating summa cum laude, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the University of Miami Law Review.
